The World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) is a high-profile initiative that aims to promote and facilitate innovation in the delivery of healthcare around the globe.
The inaugural event took place in Doha and brought together governments, business leaders, academics, clinicians, new media pioneers and the third sector to help unravel some of the most pressing global health challenges that we face today.
Innovation is at the heart of doing that. If we can make it easier for countries to look after their people in innovative and accessible ways then we will all benefit, regardless of where we live or what kind of lifestyle we have. This is not limited to traditional providers of healthcare – the best changes happen when other sectors contribute as well. The key is to find innovations that can actually be put into practice.
WISH defines itself through action. Delegates have been selected for their dedication to radical innovation and their ability to implement change, not just talk about it. We believe that this is the only way to make a meaningful impact on global health.
